Rogue's 2019 Season - A Texas Premier and a World Premier
Rogue Productions is proud to bring two exciting new works to Houston in 2019.
First up, in February 2019, Rogue will present TWO MILE HOLLOW, by Leah Nanako Winkler. This play had it's world premier last year and we are the first to bring this timely satire to Houston audiences. A hilarious commentary on the lack of representation on theatrical stages by people of color, this production will employ over 20 local artists and artisans.
Later this year, Rogue will produce a full-scale, world-premier of a new musical called SOLE MATES. Composed and written by native Houstonian, Travis Kirk Coombs, Sole Mates is a funny (and punny), heartwarming story of love and identity as told through the perspective of a misplaced sock named Oskar. Rogue has previously produced two developmental readings in 2017 and 2018. This is a large scale, full production of a new musical and will employ dozens of local musicians, artisans, actors, technicians, designers, and directors.
For every production, Rogue tries to partner with a community organization. The reason for this is to help create more accessibility to our shows and to spread awareness about our partner organizations to our theatre patrons. We are proud to be a Houston theatre company and want to bolster the do-good economy of our hometown through our work.
