About The Project
“There are two distinct languages. There is the verbal, which separates people… and there is the visual that is understood by everybody.”-Thomas Kinkade
Soon to be displayed in the heart of Houston’s newly renovated creative space, The Silos of Sawyer Yards, is “Dance Peace”. When a dance is artistically choreographed, it is called a piece, similar to a piece of art. This thought, blended with a peaceful relationship between two artists from Iran and Israel respectively, inspired the collaboration that is “Dance Peace”. This three month long exhibition by Iranian photographer Ashkan Roayaee and Israeli painter, Keren Farago will showcase many new works focusing on the relation between art, human connection, dance, and unity. Within this exhibition “Dance Peace” is able to create a safe space in which two seemingly opposed countries can stand side by side in complete harmony.
