Writespace [2] is delighted to announce that we will host a panel at Houston'sComicpalooza [3] on Friday, May 22nd, 5:30-6:30pm. 

SciFi/Fantasy Tropes and Clichés: A Guide for Writers.

Come listen to our panel of faculty and friends as they discuss avoiding tropes and clichés while writing science fiction and fantasy. This discussion will cover all types of writing, from comic book to fanfiction to short story to screenplay. We’ll look at examples to avoid from pop culture including film, literature, and comics. Which plotlines are overused? Which are timeless?
