Marci Regan Dallas - Executive Director

Marci Regan Dallas has a strong background in arts leadership, fundraising, and financial management. Marci holds an MBA and an MA in Art History. She is a graduate of Christie's Art and Business program as well as the Leadership Institute for Nonprofit Executives at Rice University's Center for Philanthropy and Nonprofit Leadership. She has previously held administrative, curatorial and development roles in organizations such as The Museum of Modern Art (New York) and Holocaust Museum Houston. She is an active community volunteer, having served on committees for the Association of Fundraising Professionals, Planned Giving Council of Houston and the American Alliance of Museums.

Angela Carranza - Programs and Services Manager

Angela Carranza first joined the Fresh Arts (formerly Spacetaker) team in 2011 as an intern and has served as the Manager of Programs and Services since 2015. She is a cum laude graduate of the University of Houston with a BA in Art History and a minor in Studio Arts. With a strong background in project management, she previously held roles as a faux finisher and interior design consultant. She later partnered with a Houston-based designer and avid art collector serving as the firm’s Project Director and Lead Design Consultant for seven years. Focusing on art-centric, creative design solutions for high-end interiors, she also provided art consultation, art inventory management, and visualization services to private collectors. Currently Angela leverages her professional experience within various art fields to provide career-building support to emerging local artists. She is also an active animal welfare advocate and community outreach volunteer for Barrio Dogs, Inc.

Sarah Stevens - Administration and Operations Manager

Sarah Stevens is originally from Suffolk, England and has been living, working, and studying in the US since 2011. In December 2014 Sarah received her MA in Arts Administration from the University of New Orleans, Louisiana where she also interned in the development department of the Contemporary Arts Center.

Sarah’s background is primarily in the commercial arts sector. After graduating from Warwick University in England with a BA in art history, she continued to pursue a passion for the arts, working in art galleries across two continents before settling in Houston in January 2015.

Since her arrival, Sarah has jumped into the Houston arts scene with both feet, starting an arts blog (www.artfuldodgy.com) to document her exploration of the city’s thriving urban art culture. Most recently, Sarah worked as Project Manager of The Mural Project @ CITYCENTRE, where her work with benefitting charity MD Anderson Children’s Art Project prompted her decision to make the transition to the nonprofit sector.

Micah Starkey - Special Events Intern

Micah joined the Fresh Arts team as a Special Events intern in Summer 2017.  She is a Houston-area native who has been exploring the city since graduating from Texas A&M University in 2015. While pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Economics and a minor in Business Administration, Micah served on the Opera and Performing Arts Society Student Committee, an experience that ignited her passion for the arts and events.  As a Publicity and Advertising Manager, she created marketing campaigns for performances, and, as an Event Relations Manager, she co-managed the VIP donor lounge on performance nights and during special events.

Currently, Micah works full-time as an office operations specialist at a packaging solutions provider. There she manages day-to-day operations and leads projects such as employee engagement, internal communications, space planning and company events. As an aspiring creative and event planner, Micah is excited to join Fresh Arts in bringing art to the Houston community!
