An Evening of Jazz with Leslie Drayton and Friends

Trumpeter and composer Leslie Drayton will kickoff the
holiday season with a special Evening of Jazz that includes his
original compositions, jazz standards, and a few holiday favorites.  The
ensemble will include some of Mr. Drayton's new friends that range from percussionist
extraordinaire Marcus Alexander, teenage phenom Tyler Henderson on keyboards, flute
virtuoso and alto saxophonist Darryl Richards, and TSU jazz studies major
Weldon Scott on bass.

Live Music Movement Foundation (LMMF) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization with the vision to broaden the enjoyment and appreciation of jazz, blues and soul music. The commitment of the foundation is to develop a multicultural, multigenerational audience to keep these African American musical styles alive and vibrant.  By creating an atmosphere where seasoned professionals and new artists can collaborate and share their talents the commitment will be fulfilled.  LMMF will present a series of musical events, salons and educational activities.  Live Music Movement Foundation recently relocated from Los Angeles, California and is happy to make Houston, Texas its new home.
