College of the Mainland Art Gallery - "Transformation" Photography works call for entry

“Transformation” Photography works call for entry 
College of the Mainland Art Gallery is accepting submission of lens-based photography works with the theme of “Transformation”. Selected works will be exhibited at the COM Art Gallery in conjunction with Fotofest 2018. 

JUROR- Kristy Peet
Kristy Peet is a lens-based artist who lives and works in Houston, Texas. She was born in Dallas and completed her undergraduate work at Austin College and graduated with an MFA in photography from the Savannah College of Art and Design. Her work has been shown in solo and group exhibitions across the US. She is currently a Professor of Photography at College of the Mainland and is a resident artist at BOX 13 Artspace.

Each artist is eligible to enter up to 5 lens-based works with theme of “Transformation.” There is no entry fee. This call for entry is open to all photographers without any geographical restrictions.

The longer edge of the image should be approximately 2000 pixels. 
Make sure to include 
- Artist name and contact information.
- Actual dimension & medium of the artwork. Any work which does not fit through the gallery door will not be accepted. 
- Insurance value of the piece. 

Entries Due: February 14, 2018
Notice of Acceptance: by February 28, 2018
Shipping of Artworks Due: March 20, 2018
Exhibition dates: April 2- May 2, 2018
Reception date & time: TBA

Artists are responsible for both shipping and return shipping cost. Artists may drop off/ pick up in person at the COM Art Gallery. The works accepted must be professionally printed and framed or presented. If insurance is desired during the shipping and return shipping, it must be arranged by the artist. 

Acceptance to this exhibition is an agreement by the artist to grant the permission for College of the Mainland Art Gallery to use images of artworks for print or electronic media for promotions, publicity, and educational purposes.
