Children's Animal Mask Workshop at GAC

GAC in Partnership with GFH Host Animal Mask Workshop for Children

GAC will offer a free children’s mask-making workshop,
led by local artist and GHF historic preservation manager Nick Barbee.
Presented in partnership with Galveston Historical Foundation, Nick and
instructors from GAC will show kids how to make 3-D paper animal masks to wear
in the parades during Dickens on the Strand on December 2 and 3rd.

Children will be able to wear their masks to
gain free entry to the start of the parade. Parade times and route information
will be posted at
www.galvestonhistory.org/dickens-on-the-strand and detailed parade participation information will be given at the
workshop. 

 All mask-making materials will be provided at
the workshop; participants are encouraged to wear appropriate clothing for
painting and getting messy. Parents are invited to stay, especially with
younger children.
