Stitched film at International Quilt Festival

Documentary follows three art quilters for a year as they compete for the nation's largest quilt show

Stitched is a 72-minute film that follows three textile artists -- Caryl BryerFallert, Hollis Chatelain and Randall Cook -- for a year as they prepare their entries for the nation's largest quilt show, which is held annually in the George R Brown Convention Center.

Stitched captures the excitement of some of the biggest quilt festivals held in Houston and Paducah, Kentucky.

The strong bonds of friendship amongst quilters are highlighted as is the divide between the traditional quilters and textile artists.

See the film and then attend the quilt festival to see some of today's beautiful art and traditional quilts. There is a separate entry fee to attend the festival.

Director Jena Moreno and Producer Nancy Sarnoff will be in attendance.
