Grant-writing Clinic “Office Hours”
One-on-one grant review and consultation with experienced grant writer
For artists seeking advice on a grant application draft
Wednesday, October 29, 6:30 – 8:40 p.m. @ Fresh Arts
Tickets sales end at noon, Oct. 29th :: No walk-ups will be allowed
Limited to (2) sessions per registrant (40 minutes total, regardless of reviewer)
This is a follow up session to the "Writing a Great Grant" workshop on October 22, but it is open to anyone seeking guidance on a grant. Participants may register for 1 or 2 20-minute one-on-one consultations with an accomplished grant-writer. Jenni Rebecca Stephenson will be available for general grant feedback. Rachel Cook, Curator for DiverseWorks Artspace, will provide insight on Idea Fund grant applications, and Shannon Teasley, Houston Arts Alliance Grants Manager, will be present to review HAA Individual Artist Grant applications. Each registrant will receive personalized feedback regarding the strengths and weaknesses of their actual grant application. We especially encourage those seeking an Idea Fund Grant or Houston Arts Alliance Individual Artist Grant to attend "Writing a Great Grant" on October 22nd and complete a finished draft of their grant before signing up for a one-on-one session.
Participants should bring a completed grant application with them to their session.
**Participation in this workshop does not guarantee funding with Houston Arts Alliance.
