What is Fiscal Sponsorship? Do I qualify and how do I apply?
For artists and collectives, the skill sets and time needed to manage a nonprofit are in constant conflict with the focus required to create work. Fiscal Sponsorship is designed to support worthy art projects spearheaded by artists and collectives existing outside of traditional nonprofit models. A fiscal sponsor lightens the administrative burden for artist projects by eliminating the need to form a new board of directors, by streamlining processes, and by minimizing overhead costs.
Join us this Wednesday to learn more about Fiscal Sponsorship and see if you qualify for fiscal sponsorship for your upcoming creative project. Representatives from both Fresh Arts and SWAMP’s fiscal sponsorship program will be on hand to answer specific questions about their respective programs.
Need one-on-one guidance afer the workshop? Attending workshop participants with a Fresh Arts membership will have the opportunity to sign up for a complimentary 30 min Office Hours consultation with Fresh Arts staff to discuss your project’s eligibility for sponsorship. Office Hours session dates are limited to Friday, May 27th and Friday, June 3rd from 11am to 2pm.
