ABOUT THE EXPERTS

Kami Watson Huyse is the founder of Zoetica Media, an award-winning marketing and PR firm. Kami authors a blog on the topic of public relations and social media strategy and is considered a national leader in the use and measurement of social media for public relations. A 19-year-veteran of public relations, her work in social media has earned her the SNCR’s 2008 and 2010 awards and IABC’s 2009 Gold Quill of Excellence Award. She authored a chapter on social media measurement in “Welcome to the Fifth Estate: How to Create and Sustain a Winning Social Media Strategy” and is a frequent speaker on the subject.

Christian Brown, a Houston native, attended college at Baylor University where he received a Bachelor of Business Administration in Music & Entertainment Marketing from the Hankamer School of Business. He then joined Theatre Under the Stars (TUTS), where he rose to become Assistant Director of Marketing and Sales. Currently, Mr. Brown works for Houston Ballet as the Director of Marketing and Public Relations overseeing all branding, marketing, ticketing and public relations efforts. Mr. Brown was also a contributor for the American Marketing Association and currently works as a guest lecturer at University of Houston Downtown and Lone Star College.
