Fresh Arts Summit

Anything but a typical conference, the Fresh Arts Summit offers a fresh perspective on the business of art. Carefully curated, the creative entrepreneur focused weekend seeks to motivate and inspire creative learning through a mix of 20+ skill-building workshops, expert lectures, artist panels, round table discussionspeer exchanges, and mentorship opportunities.

Topics include arts marketing and self-promotionfinancial management + fundraisingcopyrights + legal resources, and other topics related to arts entrepreneurship. Sessions are led by over two dozen organizational partners and field experts including practicing artists and other creative leaders working in the Houston arts community.

The Summit is ideal for emerging to established artists, makers, and creatives of all disciplines who seek to advance their entrepreneurial skills, expand their peer network, and tap into local resources.

The 1st annual Fresh Arts Summit was held July 19-20, 2019 at Silver Street Studios. The 2-day series of weekend events convened over 200 artists from Greater Houston and beyond.

Fresh Arts welcomes artists with disabilities and will be providing Communication Access Real-time Translation (CART) for selected sessions. Silver Street Studios is a wheelchair accessible venue.

Located in the heart of Arts District Houston, Silver Street Studios is an arts and event complex featuring a 20,000 sq ft event space and 68 creative studios. Since opening, Silver has been home to some of the most exciting festivals, markets, and events in Houston. In addition to rotating fine art exhibitions and public programs throughout the year, Silver Street artists welcome the public into their studios on the Second Saturday of each month.
