Hours:

7 am to 2 am Monday through Sunday

Open since October of 2015, MATCH was born of a desire to serve the broad spectrum of Houston's cultural arts organizations by providing a place where small to mid-sized cultural groups and individual artists could work in state-of-the-art facilities just like their more prominent and well-funded colleagues. With annual support from Houston First, MATCH is able to provide performance space, rehearsal space, exhibition and office space at rates nearly any artist or group can afford.

And there are a variety of spaces to choose from. Matchbox 1 is a small black box with a seating capacity of 90 that can also serve as a small gallery. Temporary risers and chairs can be configured as endstage, thrust or in the round. Matchbox 2 is the dance space with a permanent dance floor and seating for 159. Matchbox 3 is a large black box with a seating capacity of 175 that can also be configured in a variety of ways. Matchbox 4 is a more conventional proscenium space with fixed seating for 323. All four Matchboxes are served by a central Breezeway that runs from the Box Office and Cafe on Main Street to the Bus drop-off on Travis Street and acts as the lobby for all 4.

Across the Breezeway from Matchbox 4 is a 3000 square foot gallery. Adjacent to the Gallery in the South Building is a 60 foot wide rehearsal hall that can be used as one room or divided into thirds. Above the Gallery and the Rehearsal Hall are offices and cubicles that are available for rent to artists and arts groups.

For now, by appointment and during our events.

Founded in May 2010, JoMar Visions spanned the areas of service from photography, graphic design, fine art representation of the founders' fine art, husband and wife team  Joana Esteves and Mark Roden; growing quickly to other areas of supporting the Houston Art Community and giving chances to artists that otherwise might find difficult to find venues to exhibit/perform their works.

The hosting of art events and representation and support of other artists started with Houston ArtCrawl 2010 as part of Hardy & Nance Studios, jump starting the many incredible events that JoMar Visions enthusiastically continues to organize, focusing on other hidden emerging talents and also well known established names within the art community. JoMar Visions was awarded best Houston Art gallery 2014 and 2015 by the A-list voters

JoMar Visions was born from wanting to see beauty and happiness in people's lives, from wanting to see dreams into reality. Whether they are our photography clients or the artists we represent, the people involved in the events we organize, the musicians and even the bartenders or any of our guests and art patrons, we try to make dreams come true and bring beauty into people's lives.

We are currently in two locations. A smaller gallery space  at 902 Hardy St. in Houston's Hardy & Nance Studios, and we just launched our own facilities, JoMar Visions Studios in Northwest Houston, 5247-5249 Langfield Rd.

With our photography, our fine art and our events, we try to make the world a better place, one smile at a time.
