The Sculpture Project will be placed at the Brown Foundation Plaza on Harrisburg in Houston's East End, the historic community where the Zenteno family holds its roots. The monument, sculpted by artist Bridgette Mongeon, will consist of a bronze, life-sized figure of Norma with a dog at her feet, a bas-relief plaque commemorating her father and legendary musician, Roberto Zenteno, and a bench for visitors to sit and reflect.

Norma’s family, friends and fans miss her dearly but through the Zenteno Sculpture Project, her musical legacy will live on to inspire others. Paz y Amor.

Special thanks to the East End Foundation, the Greater East End Management District, and friends, family and donors for their support of the project.

FREE - All are welcome

Please join us for drinks and conversation at Boheme Cafe & Wine Bar on Thursday, April 5th, when a portion of the proceeds from all drink sales during the 5pm-8pm happy hour will go towards developing the new fundraising platform for Fresh Arts fiscally sponsored projects. The proceeds from the evening will support the group so don't be shy, raise a glass (or three) while raising funds for the Fiscal Sponsorship program.

In the city of Houston, there is a passionate community of philanthropic individuals, charitable foundations, and government institutions devoted to funding the arts, however, many of our most talented independent artists and small companies are ineligible to receive grants and tax-deductible contributions without 501(c)(3) tax status. That's where the Fresh Arts fiscal sponsorship program comes in! A fiscal sponsor is a nonprofit organization that provides fiduciary oversight, financial management, and other administrative services to help build the capacity of charitable projects.

The proceeds will go towards developing the new fundraising platform for fiscally sponsored projects: https://www.fresharts.org/sponsorship/funded/
