About Ángel Lartigue:
Ángel Lartigue is an artist born and raised in Houston TX. Recently I've been accepted to take part of the residency, SymbioticA, at the University of Western Australia in Perth. I am raising money for my travel expenses, living costs and residency bench fees for SymbioticA. The residency asks for a three month minimum stay but planning to stay at least a full six months, for the 2019 semester starting August. Founded by two bioartists, Oron Catts and Ionat Zurr, the residency is the first of its kind, an experimental artistic laboratory where researchers from all over the world create space, ask questions and critically engage with the life sciences. This residency will greatly benefit my current artistic projects and will be a stepping stone into furthering my career. Learn more about Ángel Lartigue HERE.

About Eternal 30:

Internal/Eternal is the collaborative effort of Rachel Orosco and Tom Carter. Together we design environments in which performers and artists (often including ourselves) dismantle the imaginary barriers between music, art, and performance in order to inspire a sense of community and possibility.

Eternal 30 is an installation combining light, music, and collaborative performances that will endure for 30 days in a non-traditional venue to emphasize the short-lived nature of independent creative spaces in the face of Houston’s competitive real estate market.

The installation will include multimedia projections by Rachel Orosco and improvisational and electronic music by guitarist Tom Carter that will envelop the viewers and listeners in an immersive environment punctuated by intermittent interventions of dance, performance, music, poetry, and other forms of expression.

The venue for the installation is yet to be announced, but we're investigating spaces in central Houston locations that will allow access both by foot and public transportation. Our target months are May or September, although dates are flexible depending on the final venue. Other collaborators in the project will include internationally-known multimedia artists, musicians, filmmakers, and performers. Eternal 30 is partially funded by a generous Individual Artist Grant from the Mayor's Office of Cultural Affairs and the Houston Arts Alliance.
