About Bagatelle
Bagatelle is a film produced by Good Hope Films. 

Summary: While on tour in a foreign country, a struggling cellist ditches her musical career to attempt a marriage with a wealthy farmer. The story is inspired and is loosely based on 'Ionych', a story by Anton Chekhov.

About Good Hope Films, LLC
Founded in 2008 in Houston, Texas, Good Hope Films is dedicated to socially conscious entertainment with a cross-cultural reach and international scope. Over the years the documentaries it has produced or co-produced with partners such as WWF and Austin Film Studios have screened at festivals worldwide. Its recent foray into animation produced a feature that is being successfully distributed across multiple platforms in the United States. This year, WHAM will bring together Houston's most talented local artists and kick off the holiday season with an exclusive "Ugly Sweater" themed Preview Party and Happy Hour on Friday, November 16th from 6:00 to 10:00pm, and resume on Saturday, November 17th at 11:00am until 8:00pm and Sunday, November 18th from 11:00am to 4:00pm.

Since its launch in 2006, WHAM has generated over $1,000,000 for hundreds of local artists and continues to grow as an important venue for Houston's creative economy.



WHAM is a program of Fresh Arts, a 501(c)3 organization that champions local artists and creative entrepreneurs to succeed in the business of art.

In its mission to provide local artists access to economic development and opportunities to support their professional growth, Fresh Arts (formerly Spacetaker) has hosted the Winter Holiday Art Market (WHAM) annually since 2006.  Fresh Arts personally invites local gallerists, interior designers, boutique and shop owners, and gift shop buyers to WHAM to help foster relationships between participating artists and those entities able to market and sell their work year-round.

About Zine Fest Houston:
Zine Fest Houston (ZFH) is an all-ages festival dedicated to promoting zines (self-published magazines), mini-comics, and other forms of small press, alternative and underground DIY media and art. ZFH will take place on Saturday, November 17 at Lawndale Art Center in Houston, Texas. Admission is free and low cost table space is available for creators, writers and artists involved in the creation, publication, distribution, or promotion of alternative DIY media. ZFH is the sole event in Houston that specifically provides a platform for emerging and established regional and national zine makers in the DIY community to exchange new work and create meaningful relationships that lead to productive collaboration. Also, because the festival only happens once a year it is a special and unique event for people in Houston and the surrounding areas to purchase zines from creators that might not show their work anywhere else.

About First Saturday Arts Market
First Saturday Arts Market artists are active members of their community, we volunteer at art events and like giving back to the community. 100% of the proceeds will be donated back to an arts organization or towards our emerging artist program. With the emerging artist program, approved artists (by a panel of participating artists) are given a tent, with a display to set up at a market free of charge. It's both a learning experience and opportunity to find out if outdoor markets are worth the investment. Startup costs for showing at outdoor markets and festivals can range from $200 - $2500 depending on many factors. The program will begin in September 2018.

Explore the art of basketry, inspired by our new exhibition, Rooted, Revived, Reinvented:  Basketry in America.

New Schedule for Craft Social Events
Craft Social events are moving from a monthly schedule to four times a year.  Attendees can expect the same level of creativity, experimentation, and fun to which they’ve become accustomed, and events will include a more robust menu of experiences, including hands-on making, talks and presentations from community experts, and in-depth looks at current exhibitions.  Future events will take place in October, January, April, and July, and the hours will be 5:30 – 8:00 PM for each event.

Craft Socials are casual evening events designed to emphasize experimentation, curiosity, and innovation. Visitors are encouraged to drop by and participate. All events are free and on a first-come first-served basis. Capacity is limited. Craft beer is generously provided by Buffalo Bayou Brewing Co., and materials are sponsored by Art Supply on Main Street.

About Jessie Dugan:


Jessie is the designer and creator of JESSIE DUGAN.
The four points of the diamond shape seen in Jessie’s logo and jewelry designs represent both the natural elements (earth, air, water, and fire) and her brand’s core values (well-being, sustainability, local, and forward-thinking).


Jessie’s pieces are designed in Houston and 3D-printed in NYC, using the latest in the cutting edge manufacturing methods in a variety of metals, including brass, silver, and 14K gold.


Jessie grew up in West Houston then went to college at Southwestern University, obtaining a BFA in Painting & Printmaking. She attended grad school at Parsons School of Design with a focus in Accessory Design. While living in NYC, she designed ready-to-wear at rag & bone, accessories at Henri Bendel and runway jewelry at Tory Burch. Jessie now lives in Montrose with her husband Kyle and her puppy Rosie.
