"Publicartist was created in order to solve a problem plaguing public art.
During our years involved in the art community and the organizations that serve it, we have been asked by various agenicies and organizations to create websites to manage their application processes. It was our experience, that although an administrator might know exactly what they expected in an application, they didn't really know how to ask for it in a way that made sense to the artists, their applicants. Since we have an extensive background in digital media and the arts, we are able to help administrators more effectively collect useful, meaningful applications.
All of these experiences has resulted in giving us very specialized knowledge of two sides of public art, that of the artists, and of the administrators. We hope that PublicArtist can help administrators and artists take the stress and confusion out of the public art application process and allow artistry to take the front seat."
