Zine Fest 2019 Registration & SPB Grant

Zine Fest 2019 Registration & SPB Grant

Zine Fest Houston is an event dedicated to promoting zines, mini-comics, and other forms of small press, alternative, underground, DIY media and art.

It is also a grassroots attempt to build the local zine, DIY, and alternative media scenes and form networks with media creators in other areas. The goal of the event is for attendees to discover new zines and be inspired to create their own DIY art and media projects.

Thank you for your interest in participating in Zine Fest Houston! Please bear in mind that due to high demand for tables and limited space, we will only be considering exhibitors for whom zines make up at least 50% of their stock. We apologize for the inconvenience, but in order to preserve the accessibility and integrity of the event we have decided to make this a factor in registration this year. We will also be prioritizing first time tablers!

Registration deadline is June 30th!

Zine Fest Houston is FREE TO ALL, but please be aware that the festival has a zero tolerance policy for sexism, racism, homophobia, transphobia, ableism, ageism, or any oppressive behaviors taken against members of our community. We encourage everyone participating to help us hold the festival up to the standard we have set, and to advise festival organizers if any issues arise in this regard during ZFH.

This year we are collecting table fees AFTER applications are reviewed. Please be patient and sit tight as we review all this amazing self-published work! Expect to hear back about your application in late July/early August. If you receive an email confirming you have been admitted to ZFH 2019, please go to zinefesthouston.orgto pay your half or full size table fee using the Paypal button. This will ensure we have a table reserved for you on the day of the fest.

IMPORTANT NOTE ABOUT FULL SIZED TABLES: Full sized tables will be limited this year and we are implementing a lottery system for those tables. If you apply for a full sized table, your name will be entered into a lottery later once the registration period is over.

Event Time: Saturday, September 7th, 12-6PM
Event Address: Lawndale Art Center, 4912 Main St., Houston, TX 77002
After Party: TBD
