Marita Fairbanks is founder of Fresh Arts Coalition and ran the organization as Executive Director from its inception in 2002 until Fall 2008. Ms. Fairbanks has an extensive knowledge of marketing and business development gained in 12 years in the for-profit sector at communications and Internet companies. As head of marketing for several small and mid-size companies, Ms. Fairbanks developed a number of large-scale marketing and awareness campaigns. She is actively involved with the Blaffer Gallery, Contemporary Art Museum, Glasstire.com and Texas Children’s Hospital. Ms. Fairbanks holds an MBA in Finance and Entrepreneurial Studies from the University of Texas at Austin and a BA in History from Duke University.
